在芝加哥市中心总体规划的基础上，景观设计师对该中心社区进行了深化设计。清晰的街区划分，完善的街道网络，新的开放空间让中心市容大为改观。设计重点之一是市中心的城市公园，它建于自然土壤之上，树木和灌木可以蓬勃生长。一个公立小学和一些相关功能的建筑座落于公园之内，这种城市新格局将有利于吸引家庭在市中心生活，同时也加强现有住宅街区对外的标识性。

On the basis of general planning for city center of Chicago, the landscape designers conducted structural design for this central community.Clear block division, complete street network and a new open space greatly changed the look of the city center. One focus of the design was the urban park in the city center.It was built on natural soil, so the trees and bushes could grow nicely. A public elementary school and buildings of relevant functions are located in the garden.This type of new urban layout would help to attract families to live in the center of the city and also make the existing residential area more recognizable to the outside world.
